Enjoy an evening walk and owl prowl with THTLT at the Joseph A. Blake Wildlife Sanctuary in the Town of Rutland. We’ll learn about the ways animals are adapted to a low-light lifestyle, look for all types of animal tracks and signs, and look and listen for owls! The outing will begin in the parking lot at 7:15 pm. A brief learning session to discuss animal adaptations and the owls we might encounter will be followed by a twilight walk with activities along the way that explore how owls and other animals navigate in low to no light. Bring along a flashlight or headlamp, dress for the weather, and wear sturdy waterproof boots or shoes. If there is enough snow, and you have them, you are welcome to use snowshoes.
