Blake Sanctuary Owl Prowl and Twilight Walk April 26, 20247:30 pm - 9:00 pm « Dutch Oven Cooking Demo Morning Bird Walk and Breeding Bird Survey » Family Friendly Event, Reservations Required Postponed from April 19th to Friday, April 26th due to inclement weather. Come and enjoy a twilight walk and owl prowl in the woods with THTLT at the Joseph A. Blake Wildlife Sanctuary (31241 Middle Road, Watertown, NY). Learn about the ways animals are adapted to a low-light lifestyle, look for all types of animal tracks and signs, and look and listen for owls! Our outing will begin in the parking lot with a brief learning session to discuss animal adaptations and the owls we might encounter. Then we’ll take a walk on the woods trails to listen and look for owls, and for activities along the way that explore how owls and other animals navigate in low to no light. Bring along a flashlight or headlamp, dress for the weather, and wear sturdy waterproof boots or shoes. If there is enough snow, and you have them, you are welcome to use snowshoes.
