Blake Wildlife Sanctuary (31241 Middle Road, Watertown, NY). The outing will begin in the parking lot with a brief learning session to discuss animal adaptations and the owls we might encounter. Then we’ll take a twilight walk on woods trails, stopping to look and listen for owls, and for activities along the way that explore how owls and other animals navigate in low to no light. Bring along a flashlight or headlamp, dress for the weather, and wear sturdy waterproof boots or shoes. If there is enough snow, and you have them, you are welcome to use snowshoes.
