Evening Birding and the Tug Hill Explorer Birding Backpack April 12, 20246:30 pm - 8:00 pm « Stone House Preserve Owl Prowl Make A Difference (And Have Fun!) As A Volunteer at a Volunteer Project Day! » Family Friendly Event, RSVPs Requested Birds are everywhere, but how much do you really know about them? Come to the Woodgate Community Hall, 1200 Bear Creek Rd, Woodgate, NY on Friday, April 12th at 6:30 pm to find out more about what makes birds special, how birdwatchers identify different birds, and how we can all help birds thrive. We’ll use contents of the new Tug Hill Birding Explorer Backpack to learn about common local birds – their names, where to look for them, what they eat, where they build nests – and play a game of Bird Bingo to practice our new knowledge. Then we’ll take a walk near the library to see what birds we can see and hear. We’ll finish up by starting a birding journal to document your day that you can take with you and continue to use on your future birding adventures.
