Prior to retirement, Bob served 2005 to 2014 as assistant director of the ESF College Foundation based at New York State’s College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse. He also served as executive director of the Thousand Islands Land Trust 2004 to 2005, and executive director of the New York State Tug Hill Commission 1993 to 2004.
Prior to heading the Tug Hill Commission staff, he served as the agency’s natural resource specialist 1986 to 1993, and 1977 to 1981. In addition to his Tug Hill experience, Bob served as assistant director of the New York State Senate Research Service (1974-77); executive director of the Adirondack Mountain Club (1982-1985); and as a National Park Ranger at Denali National Park, Alaska (1977 and 1981).
