July Tug Hill Book and Beverage Club July 24, 20257:00 pm - 8:30 pm « Heart of Summer Forest Bathing Evening Birding at Constable Hall » On Thursday, July 24th, we’ll hold our third Book and Beverage Club gathering to discuss two water-themed books in honor of all of the Tug Hill wetlands we love and conserve! You can choose to read one or both of these selections according to your preference. We will meet in hybrid form – in person with an online option. Everyone registered will receive an online meeting link by email shortly before the meeting date if they prefer to join in online from another location, along with a suggested drink recipe. Our in-person meeting location is still to be determined but will likely be closer to Watertown. The books we are reading now for July 24th are: 1) Of Time and Turtles: Mending the World, Shell by Shattered Shell by Sy Montgomery; Stories of the wonder, wisdom, hope and rescue of turtles, revealing to us astonishing new perspectives on time and healing. 2) What A Fish Knows: The Inner Lives of Our Underwater Cousins by Jonathan Balcombe; Addresses myths and questions, taking us under the sea, through streams and estuaries, and to the other side of the aquarium glass to reveal the surprising capabilities of fishes.
