We’ll take our third and final seasonal relaxing evening bird walk at Constable Hall (5909 John St, Constableville, NY) on Friday, July 25th at 6:30 pm. Constable Hall is a historic house museum located in the Adirondack Tug Hill Region of Lewis County, New York. This Federal style limestone mansion was built in the early 1800’s by members of the Constable family. The Hall’s beautiful garden and grounds have been meticulously cared for, with a variety of habitats that attract a wide variety of birds. After meeting in the historic servants’ quarters building, we’ll head outside for an easy, slow walk looking and listening for birds. Bring your binoculars if you have them, wear sturdy shoes that can get wet and/or muddy, and bring along some insect repellent, just in case. You may also want to add Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s free eBird (checklist keeper) and/or Merlin (bird ID) apps to your smart phone. Make sure to download the northeast bird pack from the settings menu.
