If you have ever wanted to be among trees over one hundred years old, then this is the hike for you. We invite you to explore one of the most remote, beautiful old growth forests on Tug Hill. Event Details Saturday, October 9th 10am We will meet at the parking area on the Osceola-West Leyden Road (County Route 46) just west of the bridge over the Salmon River (street address approximately 1999 Osceola Road, West Leyden, NY 13489; Google Coordinates 43.489818, -75.652058). Please note that there is no cell phone reception at this location. Please screen shot or print your map and directions before heading out Bring along a brown bag lunch, water, dress for the weather, and wear comfortable, sturdy hiking boots. Naturalist and outdoorsman, Zach Wakeman will be leading this hike. Plan on wearing sturdy boots, as we will be doing off-trail hiking over moderately difficult terrain. The payoff for your efforts will be experiencing trees that have grown uninterrupted for hundreds of years, and all myriad of plants and wildlife you may discover along the way.
