March 29, 202511:00 am - 12:00 pm « March 2025 Tug Hill Book and Beverage Club Blake Sanctuary Owl Prowl and Twilight Walk » Family Friendly Event, Reservations Required Did you ever run across footprints or other signs of animal activity outside in the mud or snow and wonder what animal might have left it there? Come to the Ainsworth Memorial Library in Sandy Creek, NY on Saturday, March 29 from 11:00 am to Noon and learn about how to figure out who made the footprints or other signs you’ve seen! We’ll start by reading the book, The Hike, then use materials in the library’s new Tug Hill Explorer Animal Tracking Backpack to learn the basics of animal tracks and signs. Then we’ll head outside with the backpack to look for anything we can find near the library. Bring your phone or camera to take pictures of our finds! Finish your exploration by making a journal with your drawings, animal track rubbings and/or stamp creations to take home. Register Here Donation of the Tug Hill Explorer Tracking Backpack to the Ainsworth Memorial Library was made possible by THTLT’s generous private donors.
