Come to the Sally Ploof Hunter Memorial Library, 101 Public Works Drive, Black River, NY on Wednesday, February 21st from 10:30 am to Noon and learn how to identify a sampling of animal tracks! We’ll start by reading the book, The Hike, then use materials in the Tug Hill Explorer Animal Tracks and Signs Backpack to learn the basics of animal tracks. Then, we’ll head outside with the backpack to find what signs and tracks we can identify near the library. Bring your phone or camera to take pictures of our finds! Finish your exploration with animal track rubbings and stamp creations as a program souvenir.
