We’ll learn about what makes birds special, share some bird identification and birding tips, maybe play a little bird bingo, and go for a neighborhood bird walk to look and listen for birds nearby. Get a look at the Tug Hill Explorer Bird Backpack, available for borrowing from the library. You may want to add Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s free eBird (checklist keeper) and/or Merlin (bird ID) apps to your smart phone prior to the program. Make sure to download the northeast U.S. bird pack from the apps’ settings menus.
