Tug Hill Explorer Birds and Birding May 31, 202511:00 am - 12:30 pm « May 2025 Tug Hill Book and Beverage Club Meeting Healthy Habitat Series: Native Grassland Plants Webinar » Family Friendly Event, FREE: Thanks to community support, RSVPs Requested Our birds have been busy this spring! Join us on Saturday, May 31st, 11:00 am, at the Ainsworth Memorial Library in Sandy Creek (6064 S. Main St.) to celebrate our feathered friends. We’ll learn about what makes birds different from other animals, share some bird identification and birding tips, maybe play a little bird bingo, and go for a neighborhood bird walk to look and listen for birds nearby. Our time together will feature fun, hands-on activities from the Tug Hill Explorer Bird Backpack, available for borrowing from the library. You may want to add Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s free eBird (checklist keeper) and/or Merlin (bird ID) apps to your smart phone prior to the program. Make sure to download the northeast U.S. bird pack from the apps’ settings menus.
