A great activity to incorporate into any part of a STREAM learning curriculum This spring’s official observation week is May 17th through May 21st. Teams fill their feeders no later than April 30th in order to allow the birds to find the food source. Then each team observes the feeders daily May 17th-21st and record the type and number of birds observed. After watching the feeder for the entire week, tally the results and report your findings back to us. The Tug Hill Bird Quest program is designed to help students and families learn more about the birds that call Tug Hill home. THTLT provides free birdseed and bird feeders, donated by regional businesses, to participating teams, along with a bird identification poster, data sheets and a free Tug Hill natural history guidebook. After May 21st, THTLT will collect and compile the team tallies, and provide a complete report to participating teams and event sponsors. Register Here!
