Come along with us as we take an autumn hike to explore one of the most remote, beautiful old growth forests on Tug Hill. Naturalist and outdoorsman, Zach Wakeman will lead this off-trail hike over moderately difficult terrain inside land designated as New York State Forest Preserve. This outing is open to the public at no charge, thanks to our generous donors. Registration is required. Plan on wearing sturdy waterproof boots. Bring along your bag lunch/snacks and water. A long-sleeved overshirt option, brimmed hat and bug repellent are recommended just in case. . We will meet at the parking area on the Osceola-West Leyden Road (County Route 46) just west of the bridge over the Salmon River (street address approximately 1999 Osceola Road, West Leyden, NY 13489; Google Coordinates 43.489818, -75.652058).
