THTLT and the St. Lawrence-Eastern Lake Ontario Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management (SLELO PRISM) are partnering to recruit volunteers to survey for & monitor invasive species found at the Joseph A. Blake Wildlife Sanctuary in Rutland, NY. This outdoor, hands-on workshop will teach participants how to recognize invasive species found on the property, and how to report their observations using a citizen scientist mobile app called iMapInvasives. iMapInvasives is an online invasive species observation database platform that aids invasive species management throughout New York State. Attendees may become part of a Friends of the Sanctuary group focused on stewardship at the wildlife sanctuary through THTLT & become part of a regional invasive species volunteer surveillance network through SLELO PRISM.
