SLELO PRISM

The Saint Lawrence Eastern Lake Ontario Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management (SLELO PRISM) is the go-to organization for learning about how to prevent, detect, and respond to invasive species in the North Country. Their workshops are a great way for landowners and towns to learn how to tackle invasive species.

  • Provide timely information about current invasive species concerns in Tug Hill, ensuring that landowners are ready to tack the problem head on.
  • Actively restoring the Salmon River by removing Japanese knotweed, an area that is important to native fish species and is a world class fishing destination for anglers.
  • Train backyard gardeners how to attract more pollinators by planting native plant species, and preventing the spread of invasives.
