Smith Public Conservation Area\, 25775 Taylor Rd\, Evans Mills\, NY! We will walk the approximately 1-mile trail loop together and conduct a roadside cleanup along Taylor Road. Safety vests\, garbage bags\, limited hand tools and trash grabbers will be provided. \nWe will wrap up our afternoon of great company and care for the Earth with a refreshing non-alcoholic toast to Dave Smith and some delicious snacks! \nRSVP HERE

DESCRIPTION:Did you ever run across footprints or other animal signs outside and wonder what animals might have left them there? Come to the Prospect Free Library on Saturday\, April 11th\, 10:30 – 11:30 am and learn how to figure out who made them! \nWe’ll go over what types of animal tracks and signs we might encounter\, then head outside to look for anything we can find near the library. Bring your phone or camera to take pictures of our finds! Finish your exploration by making a journal with your drawings\, animal track rubbings and/or stamp creations to take home\, and learn about the Tug Hill Explorer Tracking Backpack available for borrowing from the library for your ongoing adventures. \nRSVP HERE

SUMMARY:April Twilight Owl Exploration at Blake Wildlife Sanctuary
DESCRIPTION:Join us on a guided twilight exploration\, looking and listening for owls at the Joseph A. Blake Wildlife Sanctuary on Friday\, February 20th at 5:00 pm. As we enter the forest with our senses alert\, we’ll make stops along the way to learn about how nocturnal animals are well-suited to their night-time activities. Registration is required. There is no charge for attendance or parking. \nDress for the weather and wear sturdy walking shoes or boots – if there is enough snow\, feel free to bring your snowshoes! Bring along a flashlight – we start in the light\, but it may be quite dark by the time we return to the parking lot.
