DESCRIPTION:If you have ever wondered how old trees can be\, and love fall foliage\, then this is the hike for you. We invite you to explore one of the most remote\, and beautiful old growth forests in Tug Hill for this autumn hike. Naturalist\, and outdoors-man\, Bob McNamara will be leading this four-mile hike. \nPlan on wearing sturdy boots\, as we will be doing off-trail hiking over moderately difficult terrain. The payoff for your efforts will be massive trees\, that have grown uninterrupted for hundreds of years. This family friendly hike is free and open to the community.

SUMMARY:CANCELLED The Black River Outdoor Education Program (BROEP) Hike or Bike
DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to partake in a fun fall day outside hiking or mountain biking. This outing showcases the Black River Forest\, with its beautiful lodge nestled deep in the flat meadow basin of a prehistoric kettle surrounded by 1300 feet high escarpments and 8 miles of trails that is normally not open to the public. You will travel through a variety of forest habitats as you explore these moderately hilly trails by foot or by bike.  BROEP can provide mountain bikes for up to 40 participants who cannot bring their own. \nPLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED We hope to plan a winter snowshoe in January or February\, please stay tuned.
