DESCRIPTION:As part of the 2025 Summer Reading Program\, Carthage Free Library invites families to experience the “Color Our World” Story Walk in the forest at the Joseph A. Blake Wildlife Sanctuary\, 31241 Middle Rd\, Watertown. This year’s theme celebrates color in art and nature\, inspiring creativity and exploration through reading and the outdoors. \nFrom July 15 through August 26\, you can enjoy a self-guided\, vibrant\, family-friendly story that will be displayed page by page along one of our trails. There is no fee to visit our trails or to experience the story walk. DESCRIPTION:Play\, Connect & Protect Tug Hill\nJoin us at Copper City Brewing Company for a night of bingo and fun. \n\nWednesday August 6th\nBingo starts at 7:00 PM (and runs until about 8:30–9:00 PM)\nCopper City Brewing Co. 1111 Oneida St\, Rome\, NY\nPrizes for the winners\n\nYour participation helps build support and awareness for the ongoing efforts to protect Tug Hill’s farms\, forests\, wetlands\, and wildlands. \nBingo is free to play\, so come enjoy a fun evening\, connect with others\, and raise a glass to the work you are making possible. \n\nIn addition\, we’ll also be kicking off a special fundraising effort at Bingo Night! We’re working to build a wildlife viewing platform at the Keller Mohawk Public Conservation Area—and we’re thrilled to share that a generous sponsor from The Enchanted Edible Forest at Cross Island Farms has offered a matching donation to help launch the project. DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to come and enjoy a fun visit to Whitecaps Winery\,11544 County Rd 125\, Chaumont\, NY and learn all about how you can benefit the birds around us\, with a special presentation in the pavilion at 2:00 pm by Irene Mazzocchi\, retired Region 6 NYSDEC biologist. We’ll take a leisurely walk to look and listen for birds\, too. Wildlife agencies\, land trusts\, native plant vendors and more will be on hand to help you find resources and identify ways that you can make an important difference for the birds! There no fee to attend and no registration required.
