Join us for a beautiful autumn hike on Saturday, October 14th. If you have ever wondered how old trees can be, and love fall foliage, then this is the hike for you. We invite you to explore one of the most remote, and beautiful old growth forests on Tug Hill.

Naturalist, and outdoorsman, Bob McNamara will be leading this four-mile hike. Plan on wearing sturdy boots, as we will be doing off-trail hiking over moderately difficult terrain. The payoff for your efforts will be massive trees, that have grown uninterrupted for hundreds of years. This family friendly hike is free and open to the community.

As a special promotion for hike attendees only, the guide book illustrated by McNamara, “Tug Hill: A Four Season Guide to the Natural Side” will be sold for $15 (usually $27). Pick up your book at the hike and Bob will also sign it for you.

Plan to meet at the Osceola Tug Hill XC Ski Center parking area at 10 am. The address is 1486 Osceola Rd., Camden, NY 13316. As a reference point the XC Ski Center is located half a mile from the Osceola Hotel. Google maps link: http://bit.ly/OsecolaXC GPS coordinates: 43.499682, -75.712852.

Please pack a brown bag lunch, water, and wear comfortable hiking clothes and boots. The Land Trust will provide snacks and extra water.

Please RSVP by contacting Community Programs Manager Lianna Lee at 315.779.2239 or email tughilloutreach@nnymail.com.
