Patricia Sargent’s father wished to see the land he spent so much time on be preserved. In 2000, Ms. Sargent made that dream a reality. The conservation easement she donated protects water quality, wildlife habitat and open space. Protection of this 25-acre forested parcel provides significant open space in the Village of Sandy Creek. A tributary to Blind Creek winds through the mixed maple and hemlock forest which provides habitat for a variety of animals including white-tailed deer, turkeys, and rabbits.
