National organization that is leading conservation efforts around the world to protect ecologically important lands and water for nature and people. Here in Tug Hill, TNC helps to protect local waterways and wildlife habitat.
- Staying Connected Initiative partner who is leading the way to help create wildlife corridors in NYS. THTLT is focusing on the Black River Valley, the strip of land that connects Tug Hill to the ADKs and is home to black bear, moose, and bobcat migration pathways.
- Another partner in applying for Northern American Wetlands Conservation Act grants.
- Direct landowners to use who want to permanently protect their camps and homes on Tug Hill.
