Lynn is a lifelong resident and graduate of the Copenhagen Central School District and was raised on the family farm. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Economics from Cornell University and returned to form a partnership with his family. He and his wife Peggy have raised four children, all graduates of CCS and either Brockport, St Lawrence, or Cornell.
Lynn is the managing partner of Murcrest Farms LLC and currently two generations of the family are actively involved in the farm business. He has been a School Board member for 18 years as well as a BOCES member for 13. He also served as a director of the Jefferson Bulk Milk Cooperative for over 35 years. For the last 3 years, he has had the opportunity to be a member of the Workforce Development Board. In 2016, the family protected their farm through the Army Compatible Use Buffer Program.
